Initial Costs

If you haven't already, we recommend you first take a look at the getting started page for more background information.   The first session with the club is always free the costs following this are as follows:

Licence            £19 - £25      x   1 - 1st year (required for insurance)

Judo suit          £15 - £28      x   1 - Depending on size

Weekly subs     £2.50 - £3.00 x  48 - Junior / Senior

Optional

Gradings            £7.50          x  2 average  

Competition        £5.00          x  2 average

Putting all these costs together equates to approx average of £3.50 per week.  We often have some loan suits and secondhand suits which can help lower initial outlay. 

A Judo Licence should be applied for after second week along with a suit.

The following years cost can reduce slightly as suits are often lasting at least 2 years and licence renewal costs typically reduce by £5.00.

Combining fun, exercise and developing valuable skills, judo offers a great value experience for the whole family.
